UW-Stout
My time at UW-Stout has been some of the best years of my life. I have gotten to meet so many people and have learned so much about software development. I have gotten to have experience in more tools than just programming and I thank UW-Stout for giving me that opportunity. I have met my favorite professors here and have gotten to know some of them. I would recommend anyone to come to UW-Stout for seeking a degree in Computer Science, Math, or IT. It being my junior year, I have experienced a lot through my college experience. I have been taught time management, planning ahead, and determination. I worked throughout almost all semesters being at UW-Stout so while it was tough to handle a large workload, it was well worth it.
Larson Construction
Larson Construction has been my summer and winter employer for most of my college duration. I started the summer of 2019 and overtime made myself a valuable asset to the company. I didn’t ever gain an official role, but it’s because my duties were spread far and wide. I was given projects I had to complete, but most things I was to accomplish was urgent and spontaneous. Numerous times I had to load and bring materials to jobsites in a timely manner, other times I was sent to pick up bid bonds for the company. Aside from doing deliveries, I was responsible for helping load semis, build containers, and weld tools. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Larson Construction and was sad to leave for the last time after the winter of 2021.
